For couples
Planning & booking
When should we book our wedding DJ?
Get in touch once you know your date and venue. For popular dates, six to 18 months ahead is a good starting point. It’s worth asking at short notice too, your date may still be free! I’ll check and reply within 24 hours.
How do we meet and book you?
We meet in person or on a call and take time to talk about your wedding. The first conversation is free and without obligation. If it feels right, I’ll send your quote and contract. You have 14 days to accept them. Once you and I have agreed to the contract, your date is booked. We’ll talk through the final details at our last meeting before the wedding.
How long will you play at our wedding?
That depends on how you’d like your day to unfold. Would you like me there for the drinks reception or just for the party? We’ll talk through when I start. I don’t offer extensions by the hour on the night, so we agree the end time together at our final meeting. You’ll have a fixed price for everything we plan together for your wedding.
When do you set up and pack down?
I’ll be set up before your guests arrive. I arrange access directly with the venue and usually pack down after the celebration. Both are included in your price.
Music & hosting
Do we need to prepare a playlist?
If you’ve already collected favourite songs, I’d love to hear them. We can also find your musical direction just by talking. Tell me about songs that mean something to you, and anything you’d rather leave out. That gives me a good feel for your taste.
Can our guests request songs?
Absolutely! They can come over to the DJ booth or send a song from their phone using my QR code. I welcome requests and work them into the mix when they fit the mood, keeping everything we’ve discussed in mind, including your do-not-play list.
How much do you use the microphone, and in which languages?
I introduce important moments and give guests the information they need. When the mood is right, I’m happy to get everyone involved. Most of the time, I let the music do the talking. We can plan in German or English, and I make announcements in both. I also make short announcements in French, such as the welcome. I don’t speak Luxembourgish.
How do we arrange speeches and surprises?
I speak with your wedding party beforehand so their ideas fit into your day. Friends, family and anyone else involved are welcome to contact me directly. We arrange timing, music and microphones together, so surprises can stay a surprise for you.
Equipment & venue
Do you bring sound and lighting equipment?
Yes. I bring speakers, lights and microphones to suit your celebration. My white wedding setup is designed to look at home in your venue too. Column speakers are available in white or black. If the venue has a professional sound system, I’ll check what we can use beforehand.
Can you provide music for our outdoor ceremony?
Yes, I’d love to! We choose music for your special moments and agree when each song starts. I plan the microphones and speakers around that. With the venue, I arrange power, shelter for the equipment and a wet-weather plan. Outdoors I use battery-powered systems, so you don’t need a socket at the arch. You can also book me for the ceremony only. Music and sound for your ceremony
Our venue has sound limits. Will you speak with them?
Yes, I arrange that directly with the venue. I plan speaker positions and volume around the rooms and their requirements. If anything affects your party plans, we’ll discuss it while we’re preparing.
Prices & peace of mind
How much does your wedding DJ service cost?
Tell me when and where you’re celebrating and which moments you’d like me to cover. I’ll put together a personal quote with a fixed price for my DJ service, suitable equipment, setup and pack-down. Travel is based on distance, and longer journeys may include accommodation. It’s all set out before you book. More about prices
What happens if you become ill?
I’ll look for a DJ with comparable experience through my network at Trenz Events and Time Solutions, checking who is available and would suit you. You decide whether the proposed DJ takes over. If we don’t agree on a replacement, you’ll be refunded for the services that can’t go ahead. The details are in our contract. Any further statutory rights remain unaffected.
What if you are already booked on our date?
Then I’ll tell you honestly and quickly. Through Trenz Events, I’m happy to help you find a DJ from my network. You then sign the contract directly with that DJ, and the referral costs you nothing. See DJ referrals at Trenz Events
